Iris Recognition
Like
your fingerprints, no two irises are the same and can be used to provide a unique
identification. The new Zyoptix™ 100 system has a new feature that scans
your irises during the Zywave™ measurement and maps the entire iris, generating
a unique digital Zy-Id™ for each eye. This map of the iris forms the foundation
from which the Multi-Dimensional Eyetracker operates.
Zy-ID™
The Zy-ID is the unique digital file that contains the patient treatment information, included the map of the Iris. Benefits are:
- Only allows treatment to progress prior to treatment if it recognises your iris. Therefore you can be 100% sure that you are receiving the correct treatment for that eye
- Rapid, automatic patient identification in treatment and follow-up visits
- Increased convenience as it calls up your treatment file as soon as it recognises your iris
- Ensures that treatment files are always associated with the correct patient and eye
